Welcome New Patients

Except for emergency problems requiring immediate treatment, patients are initially seen for a thorough examination and diagnosis. Before dental disease can be prevented, any active disease must be eliminated. This can only be done if we know what conditions are present. X-rays of your mouth and jaw and a complete examination help us to discover if any breakdown has occurred. Not only are the teeth, bones and soft tissues examined for any evidence of disease, but also an evaluation is made of the inter-relationship between the teeth, the temporomandibular jaw joints and associated muscles.

This thorough examination enables us to develop a long-range plan that is essential for a healthy, economical future. While it is important that a dentist diagnose your mouth and jaw, it is far more important that you understand what conditions are present and what options you have, so that you may intelligently plan your future.

Contact Us Today

The first step towards a beautiful, healthy smile is to schedule an appointment. Please contact our office by phone or complete the appointment request form below. Our scheduling coordinator will contact you to confirm your appointment. If you are an existing patient, this contact form should not be utilized for communicating private health information.

First Visit

Your initial appointment usually will consist of an examination and review of your treatment options. Usually, treatment can be done or started on the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:

  • Any x-rays were taken by a previous dentist, if applicable.

  • A list of medications you are presently taking.

  • If you have dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves, and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).

X-Rays

If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional X-rays are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.

Scheduling

We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible. If you have pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day.

We try our best to stay on schedule to minimize your waiting. Due to the fact Dr. Schneider provides many types of dental services, various circumstances may lengthen the time allocated for a procedure. Emergency cases can also arise and cause delays. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
